OVERVIEW

The Hometown Jobs Program is a 1-month career support and placement initiative designed for individuals who wish to secure employment opportunities in their native towns or regions. Whether a recent graduate, post graduate, 12th pass, or an experienced professional returning home, this program offers comprehensive guidance and hands-on support tailored for placement in local or regional job markets.

Structured over 8 weekend sessions, the program begins by helping candidates identify their strengths, interests, and align them with available job opportunities in their hometown. Participants are guided through the process of mapping industries such as retail, manufacturing, local services, logistics, BPOs, education, healthcare, and moreβ€”based on their location.

Resume building and application support are customized to the local context, helping candidates craft effective profiles for roles in small to medium enterprises. Through communication training, local job platform orientation, and mock interviews, students gain confidence to interact with recruiters and employers in semi-formal and informal hiring environments.

The final sessions focus on personalized counselling, interview practice, and placement planning. With access to local job networks, employer contacts, and practical insights, participants leave the course not just readyβ€”but actively supportedβ€”to secure employment in their hometowns.

This program is ideal for those looking to balance career and personal goals while remaining close to their roots, offering a much-needed structured pathway to local employment in Tier 2, Tier 3 cities, and rural areas.

Curriculum

Duration: 3 Months | 24 Weekend Sessions

The first week focuses on helping participants understand their strengths, work preferences, and map the types of local industries, job roles, and organizations that match their profiles in their hometowns.

Learners will get hands-on support to create professional resumes and application materials tailored to roles typically found in Tier 2, Tier 3, or rural job markets. Emphasis is on clear, relevant, and practical profile building.

This week helps participants explore real-time local job sources, use personal/professional networks, apply smartly, and prepare for telephonic/in-person interviews with regional recruiters or small businesses.

The final week prepares candidates with soft skills, confidence-building exercises, interview mock sessions, and personalized counselling to actively connect them with relevant job openings in or near their hometown.
