The Computer Skills Program is a semi-skilled, job-oriented weekend training module developed to empower learners from diverse educational backgrounds with essential digital and computer literacy. The program spans three months with 24 sessions and is specially curated for youth in Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities aiming to enter administrative, sales support, or data-oriented roles in the Cement Industry.
The first month focuses on foundational knowledgeβintroducing computer basics, Windows OS, file handling, and basic usage of MS Word and Excel. These are crucial for maintaining daily records, documents, and communication in professional setups.
In the second month, the course dives deeper into tools that improve office productivity, including advanced Excel features, PowerPoint for presentations, and internet/email usage with professional etiquette. It also introduces learners to basic ERP and CRM systems relevant to cement operationsβgiving them a competitive edge in entry-level job applications.
The final month transitions into job readiness. It covers soft skills, personal branding, resume writing, and extensive interview preparation with mock sessions. Real-world examples and tools ensure that candidates not only learn but also apply their skills effectively.
The course is structured to be practical, industry-relevant, and accessible, especially for learners who may not have had prior exposure to computers. By the end of the program, students will be confident, job-ready, and equipped to contribute productively in professional roles within the Cement and related sectors.
Curriculum
Duration: 3 Months | 24 Weekend Sessions
Objective: Learners will gain essential knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, file management, and foundational software tools such as MS Word and MS Excel. This phase lays the groundwork for operating computers confidently and performing basic document and spreadsheet tasks expected in support roles in the cement industry.
Objective:This month enhances studentsβ computer proficiency with advanced Excel functions, PowerPoint presentations, email writing, and internet tools. Students will learn to prepare reports, organize data, communicate professionally, and navigate online platformsβkey skills in sales, admin, and data operations jobs.
Objective:Β The final month focuses on real-world office tasks, industry case-based learning, CRM and ERP basics (used in Cement sales & operations), and comprehensive job preparation including resume writing, mock interviews, and soft skills. Students will be ready to apply for junior-level roles in cement firms.
